Sarah Aroeste Quartet
Inspired by her family's Sephardic roots, Aroeste writes and performs contemporary Ladino music. Sarah is the 2014 winner of the Sephardic Prize at the International Jewish Music Festival in Amsterdam. She has performed in major music venues throughout the US and overseas (tours through Europe, Israel and Cuba), and has collaborated with such notables as Frank London (The Klezmatics), Roberto Rodriguez, Tamir Muskat (Balkan Beat Box), Y-Love and more. Her ensemble features pianist Shai Bachar (who played with Aaron Bensoussan at the 2013 BJMF), Fima Ephron, Bass, and Liron Peled, percussion. This event is present in partnership with Temple Israel, Sharon.
