Red Canna is a new ensemble formed by Capital District pianist and composer Elizabeth Woodbury Kasius, joined by bassist Bobby Kendall and violinist Mitsuko Suzuki of the Albany Symphony Orchestra. With original chamber jazz, avant garde and world music inspired by the natural world, their lush, modern compositions pay tribute to painter Georgia OKeefe.
Hailing from western New York, Decho Ensemble is an internationally touring ensemble playing classical chamber music and new works arranged for vintage Buescher saxophones. Their rich, warm sound is perfectly suited to pieces by Bach, Singelée, Glass and Knorr, as well original works by Saratoga Springs native Michael Lanci.
