Role at Brown Paper Tickets:I am the Theatre/Education Doer for Brown Paper Tickets. I help young people to use the stage and other arts-related workshops as tools for communicating their stories in creative ways.
Why I love Brown Paper Tickets:We are
paid to be philanthropists, to do good for our communities in the demographics that we feel passionate about. It is so cool that our job requirements include that feeling of for a job well done: If you don't feel like you're making a difference, you're doing it wrong!
Best part of the job:Helping young people to find their voices and tell their stories - in whatever creative capacity speaks to them.
When I'm not working:I'm a big fan of travel - the warmer the climate, the better. I'm working on my PhD in Jungian Psychology and Archetypal studies. I love to write. I also enjoy dancing, camping, canoeing, etc. I'm a giant nerd for costumed events and I love the Seattle Storm.
Current favorite song:Hangin' out with Florence and the Machine lately - Dog Days Are Over has become a mantra.
My secret talent:I laugh easily and I can usually find the humor in most situations. I'm also double jointed in 18 of my finger joints.
If I could have any super power: Invisibility, fools! Yeah that's right. I saw that.
Favorite way to spend a Sunday: Outside in the sun. Preferably on the water with friends and my favorite root vegetable.
Favorite guilty pleasure: Pfffft. I am shameless.
