Description
Parties That Cook turns up the heat with Gourmet Dating, an upscale culinary event where singles learn cooking techniques, eat delectable food, and meet other fun singles.

At this exciting hands-on cooking party, guests are greeted at the door with a nibble and nametag. After an introductory cooking lesson featuring tips like the fastest way to dice an onion without a tear, guests are broken into co-ed cooking teams.

Each team works on a recipe from the evening's tapas menu, all while sipping wine and listening to upbeat music. The group savors the 'fruits' of their labor with new friends (or maybe a romance)!

After the event, copies of the recipes, digital photos, and e-mail address aliases are sent to the group.

January 14 Menu:
Lamb Skewers with Pomegranate-Mint Sauce
Caramelized Onion, Medjool Date and Melted Brie Crostini
Brioche Tartines topped with Dungeness Crab and Shrimp Salad
Bacon-Wrapped Persimmon with Blue Cheese and Balsamic-Honey Glaze
Potato Croquetas with Serrano Ham, Manchego Cheese
Chocolate Dulce De Leche Shortbread Bars

February 11 Menu:
Curry-Dusted Salmon Skewers with Yogurt Dipping Sauce
Mini Sloppy Joes with Melted Monterey Jack
Vegetable Samosas with Mint-Jalapeno Chutney**
Smashed Cannellini Bean Crostini with Feta Salsa Verde**
Sweet Potato Galettes with Bacon and Sour Cream*
Mexican Chocolate Brownies with Cinnamon Whipped Cream

Parties That Cook designs fresh seasonal tapas menus for each event. Guests don't need cooking experience to attend. Tickets are $75 per person. The price includes cooking instruction by professional chefs, tapas using the finest, freshest ingredients, copies of the recipes, and the camaraderie of cooking with new friends (or maybe a romance)!
