FROM SCRIPT TO SCREEN Addressing the creative and logistical aspects of directing a film. Attendees will be able to read a short script and address both the creative needs of the project and its logistical aspects and blend them into a successful approach to producing a viable film.
This is an excellent opportunity for both novices and established filmmakers alike to get some key advice on navigating the logistical and creative aspects necessary to actually MAKE your film. Don't fall prey to the common mistakes filmmakers make when they assume they know how to translate words into film or video, Ted Parvin will guide you through these common pitfalls and show you how to do it right!
About the instructor - Ted Parvin is a film and television industry legend, having been part of the Academy Award winning wardrobe team for Around the World in 80 Days, through his extensive career as a first assistant director, producer and director, working with people like Alfred Hitchcock, Otto Preminger, Tom Hanks, John Candy, and many more. Recently, Ted and others have founded the Northwest Film Institute in Sandpoint, and he has won several awards for his writing.
