Description
Glissando bin Laden and his Musichideen is a noise and drone band, with Caroline Mallonee (on violin), Jim Altieri (also on violin), Sam Pluta (on laptop), and Alex Ness (also on laptop, and sometimes on vocals). The noises and drones include: Swedish fiddle tunes, recordings of bees, Hindustani alap singing, sine-wave clusters, Buchla samples, and ratios between larger prime numbers than you're likely to find anywhere else. If this sounds too good to be true, check out the band's first album, "Drone Level Orange," on the Carrier Records website: http://www.carrierrecords.com/Glissando.html.
