New York Citys newest specialized high school, The Brooklyn Latin School, proudly offers their finest Declaimers in a night of poetic, political and provocative public speaking. Teenagers honor the ancient tradition of oral history by showing off their oratory skills by reciting the writings of canonical figures. From Homer to J.D Salinger, from Maya Angelou to Barack Obama, come be inspired and awed by a generation of New Yorks future leaders.
