Ode to Niobe
This exciting, ensemble-generated movement piece, directed by Caleb Penn, tells the story of Niobe, the Greek Queen of Thebes. Excessively proud of her 14 children (7 boys, 7 girls), Niobe declares herself superior to the goddess Leto, who has only two divine children, Artemis and Apollo. The siblings seek jealous revenge on the family by murdering all 14 children and turning Niobe into a weeping stone.
Presented as a narrative movement piece utilizing highly theatrical stage techniques, this project will be like nothing youve seen before!
