Many critics have opined that Lloyd's "New Quartet" with pianist, Jason Moran- bassist, Reuben Rogers- and drummer, Eric Harland, may be the best of all his groups... One show 8:30pm Sat Sept 25th at the Nate Holden Performing Arts Center.
"Mirror" on ECM to be released in September is their first studio album. They will undoubtedly feature music from this new CD. The band plays superbly and the interaction between Jason Moran and the elastic rhythm section of Harland and Rogers is agile and alert in every moment... they are completely in tune with Lloyd's way of working!
Note: One Show 8:30pm. Box Office - open at 7:30 p.m.
Student Rush- 21 and Under with ID - $15 at show time. To reserve student tickets you must reserve one ticket at full price for every two students.
