Cora Voce (Chorus of Voices) was founded in 2003. While many of our members sang in the Choir of the West at Pacific Lutheran University; others sang in equally fine college choirs. Most of our members have sung or are currently performing with other high-quality choral, operatic, orchestral, or musical theater organizations.
What makes us unique?
Members of Cora Voce assemble from the Seattle-Tacoma area and from other parts of the country for just five rehearsals the week of each performance prior to each concert - a total of just twelve hours. By comparison, most community and semi-professional choirs meet for twenty-five to forty hours of rehearsal prior to each concert. This compressed rehearsal schedule requires exceptional choral performance skills.
