GayCo Productions at the Center on Halsted is the home for gay comedy. Born at the famed Second City in 1996, GayCo advances the gay agenda through hilarious, intelligent sketch comedy where gay is the given not the punch line. GayCo performs affordable, high quality shows at the Center's Hoover-Leppen Theatre in Chicago and also sends the comedy to the people with a touring ensemble. In Chicago, GayCo instructs classes in the art of improvisation and written comedy for adults and teens. In Los Angeles, GayCo has partnered with Three Dollar Bill Productions to produce award-winning comedic short films based on the GayCo Comedy Archives.
