Around The Block / Al Doblar La Esquina, founded in November 2000, is a not-for-profit (501)(c3)organization dedicated to cultivating arts and technologies in urban communities, particularly lower income neighborhoods of New York City.
We believe that arts, technology and the health of urban communities are strongly interdependent. We have developed programs - workgroups and classes, exhibitions and performances (including regular theatrical readings). These programs are based on community participation in arts and technologies.
