WEST AFRICAN ARTS INTENSIVE w/ Diali Amadou Kouyate & Dr. Fofie Akoto
The West African Arts Intensive is a two day, ten hour, session where students of various backgrounds have the opportunity to study traditional song, dance and music of West Africa with Oral Historian Amadou Kouyate and Dance Instructor Dr. Fofie Akoto. Participants will learn history and foundation of their respective area of study followed by execution.
To maintain the integrity of this one of a kind experience International Arts Zone encourages a moderate teacher student ratio of approximately 1:15. Space limited!
Admissions
Enrollment requires: An online application including a brief statement of interest and commitment to study. Non-refundable $25 registration fee which covers session materials.
