"A Taste For Giving"
Fertile GroundWork's mission is to encourage, empower and teach individuals and communities to grow healthy, nutritious food for themselves and others, including those in need. Working with local soup kitchens and food pantries, the Garden provides a continuous stream of produce to help feed the hungry in the Tri-Valley region. The garden operates year-round. In 2011 we delivered more than 4000 pounds of organically grown produce to feed the poor and homeless. This year that number has increased to nearly 10,000 pounds of produce.
We would like to invite you to an outstanding Summer event, "A Taste For Giving." Full of good music, good food and fine wine. Meet special Guest, DJ Gary Mora from Radio KYA 1260 Oldies Road Show.
