Joey Sellers' Jazz Aggregation - 11 Piece Ensemble
The Jazz Bakery is excited to finally present Joey Sellers Jazz Aggregation. This is part of our goal to support the exciting L.A. music scene (and no one is more deserving than Joeys band). The JB is hoping to expand our nights of operation, which would enable us to give more attention to our deserving local artists ...stay tuned.

Joey is a celebrated, composer/arranger, bandleader, trombonist and jazz educator. Sellers, has received of the Gil Evans Fellowship, and the Sammy Nestico Award. He has also received... Meet the Composer, and NEA grants.

Joey has played and recorded with Dave Liebman, Toshiko Akiyoshi's Orchestra, and the Kenny Wheeler Large Ensemble to name just a few.

Sellers is one of few composers whose ideas actually press into new shapes; it's not just a half dozen soloists coloring a big band core.  Ben Ratliff, New York Times

There's little typical about his pen. Every move he makes has an architect's design. The Village Voice
