Polyamory â The Basics and Beyond with Sarah Sloane:
Now that polyamory is an âofficialâ word (thank you, Merriam Webster!), you all know what it means, right? Right? Ohâ well, maybe not. Polyamory (âmany lovesâ) is basically defined as consensual non-monogamy, but it crosses a wide spectrum of practices and is involved in such a wide variety of relationship styles that the definition is rather confusing. Weâll talk about what it is and what it requires, and weâll also discuss ways to head off communication problems and handle sensitive issues as they arise. Time permitting, weâll also provide a forum for anonymous questions from the attendees, and you will of course most likely hear embarrassing stories about the presenters various faux pas in her own relationships.
