Starting With Baby Chicks for Families

Are chickens right for your family? Raising chickens can be a fun and educational experience the whole family can enjoy together. Learn what it takes for you and your children to raise chickens in your backyard. This class will cover the basics of chicken physiology, behavior, health, and nutrition, plus how to pick a breed that is right for you, chicken chores, chicken snacks, and having fun with your chickens.
The class is designed for a parent and child to take together. Suitable for elementary school aged children. This class costs $20 for Tilth members, $25 non-members which covers one adult and one child. Each additional child is $10. Advance registration and payment is required.
