| Description |
 PianoFight's female-driven variety show, Monday Night ForePlays, returns with brand new sketches, dance numbers, musical performances and comedians! After a sold out run in November and December of 2009, the show continues to be written, directed, produced and starring an all-star cast of ladies. Monday Night ForePlays will premiere February 15, and run every Monday evening at 8pm, until March 29, in Studio250 at Off-Market, 965 Mission St between 5th and 6th. Tickets are $20 at the door and online at www.pianofight.com.
Monday Night ForePlays has been called funny, energetic, original, quirky and sexy by audiences! The upcoming shows include original sketches about Olympic figure skaters, Crunch fitness instructors, a gathering of the worldsâ nations, one very pregnant lady and a hardworking San Francisco cabbie. As always, the show will also feature new dance numbers and a rotating line-up of musical acts including Rana Weber, Glitterous and Bochan as well as comedians like Emily Heller, Janine Brito and Alicia Dattner.
In an effort to continue creating strong female roles, PianoFight producers Ruth Grossinger and Kate Jones gathered a group of women to further this goal. Through several writing workshops and many other meetings of minds, Monday Night ForePlays was born to offer inspired artistic competition (and several degrees of the female point of view) within San Franciscoâs Monday night entertainment pool.
The all-star team of writers, actors, directors and producers behind Monday Night ForePlays includes Logan Andrews, Christy Crowly, Ruth Grossinger, Nicole Hammersla, Anne Jones, Kate Jones, Devin McNulty, Jessica Mele, Rob Ready, Carolina Rojas, John Scacco, Debra Schifrin, Emma Rose Shelton, Jacque Vavroch, Dan Williams and Sam Wohl.
PIANOFIGHT LLC is an SF-based production company founded by Rob Ready and Dan Williams. PianoFight is a managing partner of Off-Market Theaters, and has produced original works, premiered all-new shows, created and developed an online web series, and cut numerous short films, all while remaining true to its commitment of producing new work by new artists.
