| Description |
You probably know him for his sardonic wit and addictively rich Romanian accent on NPR. But tonight you will be introduced to an Andrei Codrescu that few of us have been exposed to: Andrei the art critic, and Andrei the dramatic burlesque-loving avant-garde bohemian poet.
Following a free exhibit of Andrew Miksys Lithuanian Gypsy photographs (7:30 pm at CoCA) the mayhem of "Codrescu & Friends" will begin. Sandwiched around Codrescu and his spoken word will be the belly dancing troupe of Hipnotica, burlesque artiste Babette La Fave, and music by Orchestra L'Pow. Holding the evening together as emcee will be artist Rick Klu and DJ David Rauschenberg.
Codrescu will be available to sign copies of BAXT, Andrew Miksys photography collection with Andrei's text, as well as his most recent poetry collection, "it was today".
