Forget what you know about traditional reed quintets,Calefax is totally unique! Well known for exhilarating performances and innovative programming, they've been called "a classical ensemble with a pop mentality". These five talented musicians arrange, recompose and interpret music from eight centuries to suit their unique constellation;from early music to clasical and jazz to world premieres; in the hands of Calefax it all sounds fresh and new. The Quintet often performs standing, and you'll be on your feet too after the performance by this lively reed quintet from the Netherlands.
