 There is a reason why children dream of becoming dancers, ballets like these. The combination of the costumes, the music, the dancers, and the stories is what creates the fantasy. Come and experience the magic and beauty of classical ballet with Theatre Ballet.
Fairy Tales and Fantasy presents selections from ballets such as Swan Lake, Cinderella, Don Quixote, Le Corsaire & Les Sylphides to the stage for a night of magical dance and stories.
Theatre Ballet originates in the Department of Dance of the College of Health and Human Performance at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. It is one of the largest university dance programs in America with around 350 students enrolled in ballet classes alone each semester. The ballet program runs with a complete curriculum that supports two performing companies. The faculty includes three full time ballet faculty members, four part-time faculty members, and five student teaching assistants. BYU is one of the nation's largest private universities with an enrollment of 30,000 students from throughout the United States and 120 foreign countries.
