When science teacher Bertram Cates violates a state law by teaching Darwins theory of evolution, he finds himself at the center of a court case that resonates around the world. Inspired by the Scopes Monkey Trial, two legal titans confront each other when this close knit community puts freedom of thought on trial. Inherit the Wind is as relevant today as when it was written and is considered one of the great American dramas of the twentieth century.
