Katrina: I Too Am Worthy

Langston Hughes
Seattle, WA

Seattle Playwright and elementary school teacher, Donte Felder, has written "Katrina: I too Am Worthy", a play about the 2005 hurricane that devastated hundreds of thousands of lives and exposed a dark side of America. The play will debut in Seattle at the Langston Hughes Performing Arts Center from March 8-24th. This no-holds-barred script promises a transforming experience. Talented local professional actresses and actors, including several school-aged children, will take on the roles of the 13 characters. There will be a facilitated discussion following the performances, allowing actors and audience the opportunity to express emotions and thoughts and move toward a place of greater understanding.
