Description
Five years ago, in London, Improbable hosted their first Devoted & Disgruntled event, with the aim of bringing people together in Open Space to explore the question  What are we going to do about theatre?. From each of the four D&Ds since have come an amazing number of projects and initiatives  from new theatre companies to individual projects, from pressure groups to artist salons. Perhaps most importantly there has been the gradual and growing sense of community.

Now Improbable is bringing Devoted and Disgruntled to New York  a city that has played a key part in their history  from 70 Hill Lane at Performance Space 122  to The Hanging Man at BAM to Satyagraha at The Met. People whove experienced the event in the UK have been eager for the Company to make it happen here for some time.
So this is your chance to come and work in Open Space on the issues that you care about and want to take responsibility for, things you want to change, to question, to celebrate, to discuss, to dream up. Although Open Space may be new to you it has been used all over the world. It will be an exciting open-ended event that enables a self-organising group to use its collective imagination to deal with complex issues and it will achieve this in an incredibly short space of time.

The most energizing event in the theatre calendar Lyn Gardner, The Guardian, London
