Byron Schenkman & Friends: Beethoven
Town Hall Seattle - Downstairs Seattle, WA
Town Music presents a series of three intimate recitals featuring pianist Byron Schekman, voted Seattle's Best Classical Instrumentalist in the 2006 Seattle Weekly reader's poll. Schenkman and musical friends explore the music of Beethoven in the context of works by other 18th- and early 19th-century composers who influenced or were influenced by him. Flutest Christina Jennings, winner of the Concert Artist Guild Competition and numerous other awards, joins Schenkman in performance of the delightful Senenade in D, op. 25 and works by C.P.E. Bach and Joseph Haydn.
