They rocked the folk-roots music scene as the core of Tanglefoot, a ballad-singing, foot-stomping, rampantly energetic Canadian quintet with a non-stop tour schedule and a passionate following throughout English speaking world. Fans have never stopped hungering for Tanglefoot ever since they dis-banded a few years back, and now we've got Great News! Rob Ritchie (keyboard and vocals for Tanglefoot), Al Parrish (bass and vocals), and Steve Ritchie (guitar and vocals) have re-connected as RPR. Along with dynamic percussionist Beaker Granger, the new configuration affords the four veteran performers the opportunity to stretch their wings, indulging in musical whims and creating a memorable experience of arresting music, stories, laughter and reminiscence. It's irreverant and poignant, gentle as a whisper and explosively energetic. And whether it's an original country song of Al's, Steve's recollection of a Robert Plant version of an old Dylan tune, or Rob's incisive musical humour, all the trademark harmony, the chemistry, the impact are all there.
