Intro to Max/Jitter for Interactivity and Computer Vision
Max/MSP/Jitter is a graphical programming environment for music, audio and media.

Two 3-hour sessions:
Tuesday October 13th and Thursday October 15th 7pm - 10pm.

This workshop is intended to introduce artists and programmers to using Max/Jitter for interactivity programming, especially using computer vision. This workshop is geared toward beginners but has much to offer experienced programmers. The workshop is presented by Mary Franck, a new media artist, who will be presenting her own work as examples.

Emphasizing tools for self-teaching, the first evening of the workshop will begin with examples of possible interactivity, proceed to the basics of programming ("patching" in Max), and a discussion of programming architecture.

The second evening will dive into using Jitter to process video as matrices and using the Computer Vision for Jitter library and to process video for tracking . There will be a briefer discussion of using Max with Arduino and Ableton Live.

Registration is $80.
