| Description |
This December playwright/puppeteer Scot Augustson brings his decidedly unique brand of shadow puppets to the Theatre Off Jackson. Strictly for adults, the show is bawdy, intelligent, highly entertaining and more than a little absurd. Subversive without being cynical, sly without being ironic.
Over the course of the evening you can expect skewed moral tales, lively music and chickens with a dark past. Sgt. Rigsby & His Amazing Silhouettes has performed at Conworks, Rebar, On The Boards, Annex, the 1999 Puppeteers of America Convention, Drunk Puppet Night and even did a command performance in Sequim.
Scot's non-puppet work includes "The Chris Schussler Incident" "Brent or Brenda" "Gilgamesh, IA" "Plants and Animals" and "Intelligence." In 2004 he directed "Frankenoccio" at Empty Space.
