Pond Stage Productions present GARNET ROGERS with special guests MCINNIS' KITCHEN
World-class entertainment comes to Duluth on October 24, 2009 when the legendary Garnet Rogers teams with the energetic McInnis' Kitchen for an outstanding concert featuring Canadian original and traditional music.
Canadian-born Garnet Rogers is widely considered by fans and critics alike to be one of the finest singers anywhere. His original music, like the man himself, is literate, passionate, highly sensitive, and deeply purposeful.
Cinematic in detail, his songs give expression to the unspoken language of the heart. An optimist at heart, Garnet sings extraordinary songs about people who are not obvious heroes and of the small everyday victories.
Rogers has been a featured performer on numerous television and radio programs such as Much Music, Mountain Stage, and All Things Considered. He has headlined at concert venues and festivals such as Wolf Trap, Lincoln Center, and Art Park; sharing the stage with performers such as Mary Chapin Carpenter, Billy Bragg, Bill Monroe, Ferron, Greg Brown, and Guy Clark.
McInnis' Kitchen have performed across Canada and the U.S. and feature a unique trademark sound firmly rooted in their Newfoundland, Cape Breton, Irish and Scottish upbringing. The group has been featured internationally on radio and television, as well as festivals and concerts.
