The Native Plant Society of New Jersey and Slow Food Northern New Jersey are happy to present the Wild Edibles Event. Join us as we welcome Russ Cohen, author of "Plants I have Known...And Eaten" as he presents a slide show about wild edibles including mushrooms and invasive plants as well as the more common NJ Blueberry and some of the less common plants. Members of the Native Plant Society of NJ will share ideas for Landscaping with some of New Jersey's native edible plants and members of Slow Food Northern New Jersey will share some light refreshments made with NJ Wild Edibles. Following the talk we will go on a guided hike through Watchung Reservation looking for Wild Edibles. This will be an informational hike only...no harvesting will be allowed in this park!
