Gathering to Protect the Sacredness of the Salish Sea
We very warmly invite you and your beloved ones to join us in "Unprecedented Unified Action" to Protect the Sacredness of the Salish Sea. We will be gathering at the Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center at 5011 Bernie Whitebear Way in Discovery Park, Seattle, WA 98199 on Sunday, September 7th from 2 PM - 7 PM.
The purpose of this historic gathering is to address the challenges we are facing from the proposed expansion of the Kinder Morgan Alberta Tar Sands pipelines, tankers, and other fossil fuel threats on Coast Salish territories and waters. We will also enjoy a great Salmon Bake with fresh Sockeye, corn and salad.
This gathering will launch the Nawtsamaat Alliance for Protecting and Restoring the Sacredness of the Salish Sea. One meaning of the Coast Salish word Nawtsamaat is: "One House. One Heart. One Prayer. United in Power to Protect the Sacred!"
All members of the Human Family are warmly invited. To learn more about the Nawt-sa-maat Alliance, the Four Days of Action, and the International Treaty to Protect the Sacredness of the Salish Sea go here: http://bit.ly/1qgys9C
