The Garden of France, a Loire Valley inspired hands-on cooking class
ICE New York, NY
Join ICE Chef Instructor Kathryn Gordon for a hands-on cooking class focusing on dishes from the western Anjou area of the Loire Valley, known as "the garden of France." Chef Kathryn visits annually to work with a variety of Michelin restaurant chefs, Le Notre trained pastry chefs, and artisan bread bakers -- whose recipes she will share in this class. Stephanie Teuwen of Teuwen One PR will give a presentation about the regions wines which attendees will sample. The menu for this enjoyable evening will be: mushroom hazelnut duxelle; shrimp mille-feuille with coriander and ginger; croustillant de cochon aux champignons; chicken with cider and leeks; asparagus and crme frache; green salad with walnut dressing and assorted cheeses; apricot custard tartlettes with streusel, and pear pate de fruit.
