"A major untold Californian and American story: This is the history of Chicano rock n roll and how it defined and continues to define the Latino community in East Los Angeles. A spirited and vibrant documentary about the generations of young Mexican-Americans who proudly expressed their identity through music. The program is filled with intimate first-person storytelling, rare film and photos, and exuberant music from artists such as the legendary Ritchie Valens, Lalo Guerrero, and classic bands such as Cannibal and the Headhunters, Thee Midniters of "Whittier Blvd." fame, El Chicano, Tierra and Los Lobos."

The San Joaquin Film Society's inaugural California Documentary Festival (CalDocFest): California Central Valley's first international focus on nonfiction cinema. The Festival is dedicated to promoting gifted documentary filmmakers and sharing knowledge and understanding of our world. The San Joaquin Film Society, Inc. (SJFS) is the benchmark cinema arts organization of Californias 400-mile Central Valley and home of the San Joaquin International Film Festival (SJIFF). The ;;Society celebrates cinema arts, multi-cultural appreciation, and global outreach through year-round productions of festivals and educational programs. - Printed Tickets may be redeemed at Will-Call upon entry into theater from 1 hour before the show starts. You must present your photo ID to redeem your ticket. Orders for multiple tickets must be redeemed by the person who placed the order.
- When advance tickets are no longer available, a limited number of rush tickets may be available at the door. Rush tickets are available on a first-come-first-served basis depending on how many seats are available after pass holders and advance ticket holders are admitted. Rush tickets are normally sold 10 minutes prior to the screening. Rush Tickets are not discounted. There are no day-of-show discounts.
- The San Joaquin Film Society reserves the right to refuse admission to, and/or remove from any screening, panel or party, anyone whose actions are deemed troublesome and/or dangerous to other festival attendees, guests, volunteers or staff.
- Discounted tickets for seniors, students, or disabled persons are only available at door.
