Description
Performance Showcase 2009 presents Ron Jones and guests in an evening of Spoken Word, Poetry, New Music and Dance.

Ron Jones is heralded as one of the most influential storytellers of our time, and is internationally known for the Emmy and Peabody Award adaptation of his classroom experiment called The Wave. His books "The Acorn People" and "B-Ball" have been made into TV dramas. Steven Spielberg's Righteous Persons Foundation is funding a documentary called "The Lesson," to be released in 2010, about students' reflections on The Wave experience.

Ron is currently working with the Marsh Youth Theater and Mercy High School in San Francisco to create a musical version of "The Wave." Ron will present excerpts from his current work in progress, as well as new poetry he is presenting publicly for the first time.

Ron's special guests in "Monsters and Saints" include Julie Queen, David Denny and Maia Scott. For more information, see www.performanceshowcase.com.
