Faces of Eurydice - A New Opera
CUBE Ensemble has been devising new work. A Dance-Theatre-Opera hybrid for 3 singers, 2 dancers, 1 actor, 1 cellist and electronics. With Faces of Eurydice, CUBE is seeking to honor the history of opera by engaging theater, dance, vocal and compositional artists in the devising process. We are using the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice as a jumping off point. It is the story of two artists who meet and fall in love and who attempt to navigate their way out of a dark fate with art.
