Lavender Los Angeles Preview Night Fundraiser
You are invited to the preview night of Lavender Los Angeles.
Join us for a fundraiser as we open LAvender Los Angeles on November 7th and see the exhibit before we open to the public. Come for the sneak-preview and special guest Lillian Faderman [co-author of Gay L.A.]. Stay for the exhibit, food, drinks, and good company. Lillian will be signing books at the event as well.
Roots of Equality, a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender cultural activist group, is developing "Lavender Los Angeles: The Making of our pre-Stonewall LGBT Movement". Lavender Los Angeles is a visually engaging exhibit running for two weeks from November 7-20th in Downtown LA. The mission of this exhibit is to uncover our city's unsung LGBT history; to connect the experiences of the past to the aspirations of the future; and to highlight those who pioneered our progress.
