Join Slow Food at the Charles Chocolates Factory in Emeryville, California for an afternoon with Chuck (Charles) Siegel, founder of Charles Chocolates. Chuck will give a brief tour of the factory, and lead a guided tasting of a special selection of confections. You'll learn how these are made, what makes each one distinctive/special, and how to taste them. Chuck will also discuss use of organic and natural ingredients in his confections.

This experience will also include a hands-on component where attendees will learn to make Caramelized Almond Clusters and Pistachio Lemon Peel Clusters.

As special treat, all attendees will take home a special gift box of Charles Chocolates confections, made with all natural organic fruit, nuts, and herbs, and containing no preservatives.
