Description
OmniCircus' Thousand Faces Ball is a junkyard cabaret from the imagination of noted surreal artist, musician, and robot master, Frank Garvey. This multimedia musical review thrills, confounds and entertains audiences with its vision of an apocalyptic future where down and out robot performers and their human counterparts come together creating spectacle; an ecstatically extrasensory experience of music, mayhem, and mechanical mendicants, performed through an unsentimental, yet curiously life-affirming lens.
Thousand Faces Ball ranks among the most powerful and exciting projects in modern theater; the culmination of years, composing music, artistic experimentation, and robotic construction. The strangeness and intricacy of the machines at its heart make this an irresistibly seductive experience. Frank Garvey's compositional strengths, and the talent that manifest itself around him, ranks him as one of America's most important composers.
Experience the best of San Francisco's SOMA cutting edge musical theater, and some of the most powerful performers in the Bay Area and beyond.
