Pickling- Cucumbers: Quick, Canned and Fermented
Michelle will lead us through the culture and history of pickling and cucumbers as she shows us how to make quick, canned and fermented pickles. You'll go home with all the information needed to stock your pantries and refrigerators with jars, containers and crocks of delicious, cool, crunchy, crispy pickled cucumbers. We'll also be sampling, tasting and snacking throughout the evening!
Michelle worked as the pickles curator for Slow Food Nation last fall and has spent time cooking in restaurants such as Zuni Cafe and Chez Panisse. She can be found cooking, canning and teaching all over the Bay!
