Sophistry: A Play by Jonathan Marc Sherman
Studio 250 San Francisco, CA
"Sophistry" is a riveting and provocative play that explores the subjective nature of truth within sexual relationships. Set at a small New England college during the mid-1990's, the calm campus waters turn troubled when a beloved Philosophy professor is accused of seducing a male student.
Conflicting memories leave everyone in doubt as to what actually transpired, but the self-absorbed students soon move on to sorting out their own romantic longings and sexual obsessions in this contemporary, shocking and funny coming-of-age tale.
Note: There are two acts with one ten-minute intermission. The play deals with adult themes and issues, with very graphic sexual content and language and is not recommended for children under 16.
This play will be held at Studio 250 on the 2nd Floor. It's advisable to be there early to get great parking. Seats are limited/no late seating.
