Firebird & A Midsummer Night's Dream
MDC proudly presents our long awaited Male Firebird (Tribute to Mathew Shepard) and A Midsummer Night's Dream 'World Premieres':
Firebird will be a tribute to the late Mathew Shepard and will depict the tragic last moments of his life. This tragic but "unifying" message will leave audiences with the knowledge of how Mathew's tragic ending inspired a nation to grow!
MDC will also present America's first LGBT 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' ballet; set to a combination of John Philip Sousa and Felix Mendelssohn's orchestrations. This magical tale will be told from Puck's point of view. Puck magically spins a contemporary wedding to life, through his dream, after attending an early 20th Century Independence-Day Celebration.
