Michigan Sustainable Stoup Competition
Michigan restaurants and individuals will compete to see who creates the best stoup in Michigan with a focus on local, sustainably raised foods. A stoup can be a stew, soup or even chili.
Come and taste the variety of "stoups" competing and vote for your favorite in the people's choice category. While you are there, take the opportunity to sample some of Michigan's finest wines, hard ciders and beers. The goal of this event is to promote sustainable agriculture, farmers markets, backyard or community gardening and Michigan beverages and it is all for a good cause: a fundraiser for the Michigan Envirothon Program.
If you have a passion for Michigan and everything the state has to offer in the realm of food and farming, from field to table, in a glass or on a plate, then join us on October 25th in Grand Ledge, Michigan at the Red Salamander. Doors open at 1:00 PM and close at 5:00 PM.
