| Description |
"What Philosophy Majors Do After College" is comedian Jennifer Dziura's one-woman show of hilarity and the greats of Western thought. After graduating from Dartmouth with a degree in philosophy, Jennifer held job titles including nude art model, egg donor to a gay man, subject of medical studies -- and finally, comedian. The show includes Jennifer's "History of Western Philosophy in Fifteen Minutes," an irreverent romp through the great thinkers from Socrates to Sartre.
Jennifer Dziura is a New York-based comedian and writer best known for orchestrating the Williamsburg Spelling Bee, a real spelling bee for adults, as featured in the New York Times and in international press from Tokyo to Sydney. She also hosts math, vocabulary, geography and trivia competitions at the Chelsea Market. Jennifer costarred in a SciFi Channel pilot for the show "Brain Trust," was filmed as an expert on "how to be witty" for VH-1's reality dating show "Can't Get a Date," has written for McSweeney's, appeared on the nationally syndicated Bob & Tom radio show, toured the Middle East and Africa for three weeks to entertain the troops, and is a contributor to "The Idiot's Guide to Jokes" and many other books. She knows 35 digits of pi. www.philosophyshow.com |
