Would You Like to Learn and Play Fantasy Football?
Are you a football fan? Have you heard about Fantasy Football and wondered what it was all about? Do you have access to a computer and are not afraid to use it? Then this course may be for you.
For many pigskin-loving Americans, the ability to control a professional football team is the ultimate dream. The game of Fantasy Football allows this dream to become a (virtual) reality. Players can compose a team of athletes to compete against both friends and strangers! The goal of the fantasy football player is to select which athletes or teams will have the most impressive performances during a given week.
Join Jeff Green as he explains the game of Fantasy Football from the start (draft) to the finish (the championship). You will learn the basics, how it works, the part scouting, drafting, and in-season strategy play in this game, and the kind of research you will need to do.
There will be two 2-hour sessions in July for you to learn how to play. After the class those of you who are interested will be invited to join an LLCC Fantasy Football league for the 2014 season. Those participants will use the weeks after the class to do research that will be described in the course. Then, in early September, the league will have a draft party where everyone will select their initial players for their teams.
Football fans usually root only for their favorite local teams, but fantasy football allows you to root for every team. Playing fantasy football makes watching every real game more fun and exciting. There are now 23 million online fantasy football enthusiasts. After you start playing you'll quickly know why.
Jeff Green has been playing fantasy football since 2011. Last football season he was in three leagues and was the champion of all three of them.
This is a two-session course. Purchasing a ticket for this course entitles you to attend both sessions.
