Vampire-Con 09, the world's first convention devoted exclusively to Vam-Pop culture on August 16, 2009 at The Music Box Theatre @ Henry Fonda in Hollywood, CA. Daytime festivities include panel discussions "Vampires & Sexuality" and "Inked in Blood: 40 years of Vampirella, a 40th anniversary celebration of the sexy comic-book icon Vampirella, merchandise, contests and more. On Sunday evening, descend upon the 18+ danse macabre VAMPIRELLA'S BALL. Experience the darker side of Los Angeles'acclaimed vaudeville cirque LUCENT DOSSIER. DJ Xian, audio alchemist of LA's hottest dark underground parties including Malediction Society and was a resident at The Fang Club. DJ Gary Calamar, music supervisor of HBO's TRUE BLOOD and KCRW (89.9) will perform a special late night set. Costumes encouraged - Vampires, Victorian, Edwardian, Steampunk, Bohemian, Tribal, Gypsy. Enter the darkness of Vampire-Con and find your inner vampire.
