Father's Day Special - Is That Chocolate in My Beer?

Jimmy's No. 43
New York, NY

Treat dad, your buddy, or your partner to an afternoon of chocolate and beer. You will learn about the many varieties of cocoa beans and chocolate, how the Aztec and Maya discovered chocolate, and how to transform cocoa beans into your own chocolate bars. Ethnobotanist Nat Bletter, who has studied chocolate for more than five years and is an accomplished chocolate maker, will lead this unique chocolate opportunity.

During the class, everyone will participate in making delicious chocolate bars from scratch and go home with recipes and their own hand-made, artisan chocolate bars.

Jimmy Carbone, owner of the Snail of Approval winning Jimmy's No.43, fine beer aficionado, and originator of the new Good Beer Seal will pair Nat's chocolate with a special selection of artisan beers.

Proceeds from the event will help support Slow Food NYC Harvest Time good food education programs at schools in East Harlem, on the Lower East Side, and in Williamsburg.

Note: A unique hands-on chocolate experience with ethnobotanist Nat Bletter.
