World-renowned environmentalist Jean-Michel Cousteau will speak at the Marriott Inn & Conference Center in College Park, MD on Thursday morning, June 25, 2009, beginning at 8:15am. His appearance is in conjunction with the 13th Annual Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference to be held June 22-25, 2009. This event is being coordinated by the conference organizing committee.

Jean-Michel Cousteau has spent his life with his family exploring the world's oceans aboard the research vessels Calypso and Alcyone, communicating to people of all nations and generations his love and concern for our water planet. The eldest son of the late ocean explorer Jacques Cousteau, Jean-Michel is President of Ocean Futures Society, where he continues his life's work of educating, especially the young people of the world, to foster a conservation ethic for our water planet. His most recent PBS production, "Ocean Adventures" debuted on Earth Day, April 22.
