Description
A celebration of bicycling and a fundraiser for Bicycle For A Day/everyday, hosted by Matthew Modine in honor of the Dutch.  Biking organizations including Climate Ride, Bicycle Film Festival, and League of American Bicyclists will be recognized at the event.  New bike designs by Cynthia Rowley to be unveiled.

Live entertainment, biking education, organic / local food tasting stations, open bar.

Matthew Modine and friends of Bicycle For A Day/everyday (BFAD) will celebrate biking and honor the Dutchs contribution to New York Citys cycling community as part of this years NY400 anniversary commemorating 400 years since the arrival of Henry Hudson aboard the Dutch vessel Halve Maen.  The goal of BFAD is to help empower individuals with tools they can use in their everyday lives to improve and repair our environment (and personal health). There are hundreds of things each of us can do everyday that will have an immediate, positive impact on the environment. Bicycling is one.

Bicycle For A Day/everyday is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Profits from ticket sales will be donated to fund community bike related projects including the purchase of sixty BFAD bike racks for the new Solar TWO building  the first Carbon-Neutral, Net-Zero Energy Building in New York City (begins construction in November 2009).  For more information on Solar TWO please visit www.solar1.org 


Tickets are $30 in advance / $35 at the door.

NOTE: No one under 21 years old will be admitted.
