Tomato Plant Girl
West End Studio Theatre Santa Cruz, CA
A Play Appropriate for Audiences Of All Ages
"A performance involving movement, music and magic which centers around the joys and tyrannies of friendship among little girls, this comedy utilizes a 'tomato spirit'- a force of nature more vegetable than human - to probe the themes of self-esteem, peer pressure, loyalty and self-worth." - AustinChronicle.com
Our adventure unfolds in a magical neighborhood garden with a Little girl (the new kid in Heretown), her Bossy Best Friend, and an ailing tomato plant. The girls share a garden where time moves to the rhythm of Bossy's commands until the day Little Girl can no longer obey. Little Girl loves her tomato plant, but her Bossy Best Friend forbids her to take care of it. When she decides to care for the plant anyway, it grows into a living Tomato Plant Girl and the real adventures begin!
Note: All ages welcome. Perfect for families to experience together.
