Souper Fundraiser Paul Rucker Birthday Celebration
As many of you know, I received a grant from Creative Capital in 2012 to develop Recapitulation. May 1, I'm inviting you to come celebrate and show your continued support of this project. This special fundraiser will be hosted at my Seattle Storefronts gallery, Open Studio Project in Pioneer Square from 5-8pm.
The centerpiece of the event will be a signature soup created by Maxime Biletchef and coauthor of Modernist Cuisine. It promises a unique opportunity to break bread together. The meal will be paired with live music performances by myself and several other musical guests. There will also be a presentation of new sculpture work, other works in progress for Recapitulation and some items available for sale including small limited edition prints on aluminum.
A couple of years ago, I bought several cans of limited edition Warhol Soup cans (actually, 500+). I thought they were beautiful and wanted to save them for the right occasion. On the highest level of support you will receive a complete set of all four cans, gourmet soup dinner, live music, and community. If you're not able to make the event but would still like to contribute to my fundraising efforts, I'll be happy to mail these sets of the Warhol soup cans anywhere in the United States. If you would like to support the continuation of this project, no amount is too small. You can offer any contributions for Recapitulation via Paypal.
During this event, I'll be making a couple of really exciting announcements. I want to take this time to thank you all for your support over the years and for your attendance at my concerts and visual art shows. Through your generous continued support, I will be able to complete the most ambitious work I've ever created. I would be honored if you were a part of this endeavor.
